We won't have time to review the first six black & white compositional studies as a class tomorrow because of our studio visit. But you should plan to post your work in progress to the blog by class time tomorrow—and every Wednesday—whatever stage it's in.
And please feel free to comment on one another's posts in between class days. It might help someone make some quick improvements before we meet. The sooner you post your stuff, the more time you give your peers to respond to it.
If you're working in gouache or other analog media, just take a quick digital snapshot or scan and post the images as jpeg files. Then bring the originals with you to class so we can see them in real life.
THIS MONDAY SEPTEMBER 3RD IS LABOR DAY. Enjoy the holiday!
We will review the value studies & color keys in class next Wednesday the 5th. By then you should have 12 out of the 18 studies done: six in value, six in color. The last six studies will be due the following Wednesday, September 12th.
If you scroll down, you'll see a bunch of links in a previous post that will give you a good sense of the range of possibilities for color studies and more detail about the assignment.
Any questions?
